After playing the role of of the ranting protector of the liberal masses for all these years there seems to be hint of an older and wiser moderate who is willing to stick his neck out on certain common sense issues. Rather than blindly joining the sandals and socks crowd who want to destroy our coast line with windmills, he took a common sense approach and opposed the idea. One may argue that he took the chicken approach by using a proxy like his buddy Ted Stevens from Alaska slip his opposition into some obscure budget bill. But bravo to him for now being on record with Tom Reilly who is another moderate.
But, even more shocking , Teddy has agreed with the president that the National Anthem
should be sung in English.
ââThe Star-Spangled Bannerâ ought to be sung in English,â Kennedy told Chris Matthews last night, after the MSNBC âHardballâ host pressed him on the issue.
Is there a the sense that we are threatened by slowly losing piece by piece our country’s heritage. The pristine, world , famous Cape Cod coast line, or simple things like the English language .
I also think that as Teddy thinks about all the tragedy in his family evolving from liberal excess ,the lack of self control and common sense the old worm is looking at his now looking at his legacy. Patrick certainly reflects everything wrong with the family. The alchoholism, the arrogance
