Patriarchy … Primaries … Opinions …. Visibility….

(This should be a great event. - promoted by David)

So I have asked to write an opinion article for my Universisty newspaper on the election yesterday. I was thinking:

Deval

Murray

Voter Turnout

Post Election Parties

Blogging

Thoughts? Comments (the more witty the more likely to be quoted!–>and how does one correctly cite a blogger? ;) ) ? Suggestions for an article yet to be written?  I am stuck and I have a boatload of work todo and want to write this sooner rather than later..on a side note, 4 of us did Deval Patrick Vis today in front of an Commuter Rail Stop/Downtown area and got some great recepection (honks, thumbs ups), and then the handful of boos, and f-us.  Lovely.

  1. spaces please

Could you add some spaces to the title of this post? It's stretching part of the BMG page off screen.

  2. How did God vote?

If the person in control of the weather was listening to (and believing) all those pundits who claimed that a larger than expected turnout would be good for Gabrieli, then one would guess, based upon the outrageously great weather, that the almighty was a Gabrieli supporter.  However, true to form, the pundits were ill informed, and the all-knowing person (or cat) at the weather controls is probably smiling down upon Deval.

  3. Topic: Grassroots politics

It seems to me that is the big story about Tuesday's victory.  I can't think of any witty comments.  If you want to combine the suggestion about weather and grassroots, we had pouring rain from about 3 p.m. to nearly 8 p.m. in the Berkshires, but had heavy turnout (especially compared to 2002) in spite of that.  Rain makes the grass(roots) grow!
