I just wanted to remind people about (or alert people to) the Metrowest Community Forum on Iraq with Senator John Kerry that will be held this Saturday in Natick at the Walnut Hill School. The event, hosted by the Natick Democratic Town Committee, is free and open to the public.
The senator will talk for about 15 minutes then will spend the rest of the time taking questions from the audience. Friday’s (today) Natick Bulletin & Tab is running an interview with Sen. Kerry in a story about the event. We are very excited about this–it’s not often you get to see a seasoned politician speak in this kind of personal setting and responding immediately to specific questions. We’ve got your civic engagement right here!

Keiter Performing Arts Center
Natick
Doors open at 3:30; program starts promptly at 4:00pm (forum is scheduled through 5:30pm).
We are asking people to RSVP just so we have some idea of how many people will be attending. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.
Our own dcsohl will be live blogging, posting on Metroleft and here on BMG.
The Community Forum series is hosted by the Natick Democratic Town Committee as a way to encourage debate and discussion about important issues facing our community, our commonwealth, and our country. Everyone is encouraged to come and be part of the public dialogue. Our next Community Forum will be on Wednesday, September 16, when Lt. Gov. Tim Murray will talk about transportation.

I’ll be doing the live-blogging on my new-ish site, MetroLeft, and then posting a link/re-cap here. I don’t think I’m quite up to live-blogging in two places simoultaneously!

whether or not there’s a connection, is a different question. After searching boston for hours for one during the ConCon… and not really finding anything useful (and thus disappointing a lot of people who linked to me /sigh), I make no more live-blogging promises! LOL

The State House NEEDS to get free wireless ASAP. Who do we contact about that?
