Just another reason Senator Clinton should stay in the race:
According to a newly-released poll from The Associated Press and Ipsos, Clinton would beat McCain by a wide 9-point margin, 50 percent to 41 percent. But when Obama faces McCain, the two are statistically tied – Obama holds a two point edge over McCain, within the poll’s margin of error.

The state-by-state polls at http://www.electoral-vote.com show Clinton leading McCain 291-237, but Obama trailing McCain 269-243.

Look at the polling data it is based on. In many cases is is several months old. Useless crap. Good for entertainment value but not much else.
christopher says
At least 30 state polls for both matchups were taken in April and the ones that are older are from states that have such a solid partisan record we could pretty much call them now.
they says
The difference in those polls is dem voters lying to help their candidate’s case, not McCain voters suddenly saying, “oh, gee, it’s Clinton and not Obama? Well, I guess I’ll vote Dem then.” I basically just refuse to believe that there are people so racist or sexist that they would not see both Dems as being essentially the same versus a Republican.
<
p>I think you’ll find that in states with more Clinton supporters, Clinton polls better against McCain, and in states with more Obama supporters, Obama polls better. That’s because people know what’s up with these match-up polls, and so they say what makes their candidate seem stronger, so whoever has the numbers edge matches up better, supposedly. And possibly Clinton supporters are more desperate at the moment, and do this more.
<
p>So I think people should ignore these numbers, they reflect bad faith about the American people.

Heated campaign souring Democrats on rival candidates
Let's put our November chances at risk!
Obama supporters are getting agitated
Clinton supporters have long been agitated
…in fact more so.
Let's be real. There is no way Clinton is going to get the nomination. She does not have the delegates. She has no way to fairly get the delegates.
If she cannot have the pretty balloon, is she going to pop it so that no one can have it?

isn’t Hillary with a pin. It’s one of Mr. Obama’s “friends” doing that….but leave it to you to blame Hillary.

Somodevilla/Getty The Rev. Dr. Barbara Reynolds and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Club event Monday, which was organized by Reynolds.
Shortly before he rose to deliver his rambling, angry, sarcastic remarks at the National Press Club Monday, Wright sat next to, and chatted with, Barbara Reynolds.
A former editorial board member at USA Today, she runs something called Reynolds News Services and teaches ministry at the Howard University School of Divinity. (She is an ordained minister).
It also turns out that Reynolds – introduced Monday as a member of the National Press Club “who organized” the event – is an enthusiastic Hillary Clinton supporter.
