she is not as dumb as she makes herself out to be. This is brilliant.

Doubtless she had writers to script it for her, and had the aid of a teleprompter in delivering it.

p>If only McCain had speechwriters and flunkies to help him deliver policy speeches.
<
p>It is quite amusing that she can pull that off so much more smoothly than the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

She and Nicole Richie were excellent. I loved the show. Paris has a wicked smart persona. I’m not at all surprised she “came off as smart” in this video. Perhaps you’ve allowed yourself to be trained to think that all smart women are frumps and all sexy women are dumb.

it’s because she has built a career out of portraying herself as a vapid shell.

p>But it’s probably because we’re all misogynists deep down inside. That’s much more likely.

i can’t say that i follow her really closely, but i don’t think she portrays herself as a vapid shell. i think she knows people are happy to see her play the “vapid shell”, and she uses that to her own great advantage. she comes from a background of shrewd business people. put the pieces together.

Two people that can read a script well but don’t do well being spontaneous. Why is she famous again… sex video, nice gal.

p>Why is he famous, gave speech at Dem Convention (wonder who wrote it?). I can understand why he won’t do the Town Hall debates with the old guy (who’s even in the polls). He has to think of his answers instead of reading them off the TelePrompTer.
… The association [the ad] tries to forge between Obama and the two air-heads makes no sense. Not to mention that Paris Hilton might just as well remind us of McCain’s playboy past, his inherited wealth, and the Republican plan to abolish the estate tax, which Democrats in favor of the estate tax have dubbed the “Save Paris Hilton” initiative.
This little tramp, who isn’t even close to being pretty, is belittling a man who spent six years in brutal captivity for defending his country.
Paris, get this: in modern day America, we don’t mock people because of things they have done that are unavoidable and not in any way blameworthy.
<
p>Only wait… she referenced his age, his commercial, and his energy policy. The fact that McCain was a POW is wholly irrelevant, and never mentioned in the initial ad or the Hilton ad.
<
p>In modern day America, we do mock people because of things they have done that are avoidable and in every way blameworthy, and McCain hit that nail square on the head with respect to Ms. Hilton.
