Our new website and an update on the campaign!

Just over two months ago, I announced my candidacy for Boston City Council At Large and was able to reach out to the BMG community for the first of what I hope to be many times.  Today, I wanted to give you an update on the campaign.

This week we launched a new and greatly improved ayannapressley.com.  Our website is a reflection of the campaign we are running and the type of City Councilor I strive to be.  This site is dedicated to giving voters like you easy access to this groundbreaking campaign with interactive tools ranging from signing up to “Go Green” – which allows environmentally conscious voters to go paperless by only receiving emails from the campaign, to our “Share Your Thoughts” and “Ayanna Action” sections.

I hope you will take the time to learn more about the campaign and the issues I care deeply about, by visiting the new ayannapressley.com.  If there is something you would like to hear more about, please take the opportunity to “Ask Ayanna” and I will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible.

Also, don’t forget you can show your support of my candidacy by adding your name to our “endorsements and testimonials” or by sending an email out via our “tell a friend” section.

Our staff and volunteers have been busy attending events and talking to voters throughout the city.  Meanwhile, I have been deeply honored and humbled to receive the support of outstanding women leaders and organizations like Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, Sheriff Andrea Cabral, Representative Willie Mae Allen Boston Councilor Maureen Feeney, and the Mass Women’s Political Caucus.  Many local unions and organizations representing working families throughout Boston have also joined our team including SEIU 1199, IBEW 2222 and the Ward 5 Democratic Committee to name just a few.

I look forward to continuing a dialogue with all of you and reaching out to the BMG community as we continue to expand our campaign and outline my ideas to bring a brighter future to our great city.  In the meantime, be on the lookout for our upcoming announcement tour of the city.  I promise to let you all know about each of the events, and hope you will be able to join me at one near you!

  1. Good to see education

on the top of your issues page. When education suffers it not only costs this generation of students, but affects the next also.

Is it possible to improve schools during an economic downturn?

    * Also there is a bit of a formatting problem with the text about half way down the home page.
