  1. Looking at the crowd.

Minus the performers and the guerrilla marketer for diet Coke (at 1:05), I don't think there was anyone in that room who was there to listen to the insurance guy.

  2. Bravo! (

As Patrick points out, the insurance industry is increasingly isolated. At this point, pretty much the only people in America who are on their side are those staffing their death panels reimbursement desks, their paid lobbyists, and a small collection of fanatical Republicans.

  4. OK trade ya

    Public option yes but also

Immediate and total ban on direct to consumer drug ads by big pharma.  No more "ask your doctor for", all done, see ya later bye!

Oh, and In My Cold Dead Arm.  Is it martial law yet? www.garynull.com

  5. great delivery

A lot of spine and vocal talent. I hope they go off-Broadway, even down in South Carolina. I don't think DeMint is movable, but Senator Lindsey Graham is presenting to be a civil-toned statesman. Sen. Graham is definitely a man brave to face wing-nut ranters and get some bipartisan climate issues legislation and Supreme Court justice confirmation in progress.

  6. See the lyrics, better video quality, and Maddow!

    Awesome to see this!

Another post from the previous day has the lyrics written out, as well as some background on AHIP.  It's at http://www.bluemassgroup.com/d...

And here's the video with lyrics (and slightly more polished quality):

And because her sheer delight with it is fun to watch in and of itself, here's Rachel Maddow's take on the whole thing:

    • Hmph.

"Liberals sing opera" indeed.  "Annie" is lots of things, but opera ain't one of them!  ;-)

      • Hey, if I'd posted the vid, it'd have had a better title...

and a shorter one.  But I found Maddow's glee at the whole thing pretty contagious.

And at least one of the singers (the one who started off the song) does indeed have an opera background.  The others are all trained vocalists, but I'm not sure if they do opera.
