More Scott Brown Deception, Campaigns with Giuliani

(Bumped to note Greg's interesting comment: "and he is married to one of the 'media elites' of Boston." I was struck that in this interview with Emily Rooney on WGBH's Greater Boston Rooney swallowed Brown's absurd "I am an independent" comment (at 1'40") -- he's actually 96 percent partisan -- without pause (maybe she didn't know), but found plenty of time for a cozy discussion about how wonderful Gail Huff is, who Rooney apparently hired (at 7'0"). - promoted by Bob)

Scott Brown yesterday on a possible Obama visit:

He should stay away and let Martha and I discuss the issues one on one, Brown said. The machine is coming out of the woodwork to get her elected. They’re bringing in outsiders, and we don’t need them.

Scott Brown today with Rudy Giuliani in the North End:

Glad Brown wants to discuss issues one on one without national Republicans in the state.  Just what is there of substance in this candidate.  Maybe it’s just the same as his vast accomplishments in the state senate.

  1. Ah the Hypocrisy!

I just saw an ad on the TV for the Tea Part Express' support of Brown. This may turn off independents who think the Teabaggers are serious loons.

    • Not all Tea Partiers are with Brown

Here's Clara Howell's take.  Interesting, I wonder what the impact will be.

      • Great Link.

Given that just about the only thing he pretends to stand for, besides waterboarding, is "cutting taxes", this is a pretty damning indictment.

  2. This is rank hypocrisy . . .

. . . but it will all mean nothing if Coakley doesn't jump on it and issue some sort of public statement about how, if this is strictly statewide, Rudy shouldn't have shown up.  People won't know about Brown's hypocrisy unless it is presented to them!!!!!!

I recommend calling the Coakley headquarters with these suggestions.  It's what I've been doing, and doing a lot, over the past 24 hours.  They need to know, and they need to be on this!!!!!

    • Can you provide the phone number?

Also, who is her media/marketing advisor? He/she is doing a shitty job.

      • Sure.

        It is:

        617-241-0200

And, yes, her media team is awful.  Honestly, at this point, I would say the outcome of this election rests entirely upon our shoulders-- we, not the Coakley campaign, will be the ones to motivate progressives to go to the polls.

Nevertheless, it is worth calling the campaign headquarters.

  3. I hope Brown enjoyed Rudy's visit. Obama is coming on Sunday!!!!

  4. Will Ritter?

In that picture I think I can can see Will Ritter in the background with the green tie. He, you might remember, is part of the Romney clan and facies himself as being some sort of political operative/spy. Word on the street is that he is Ferhnstrom's main dirt digger. Is he now part of the Brown campaign?
