It was very comical that Treasurer Grossman was busy texting while Mayor Menino was giving his “State of the City” address yesterday. Senate President Murray didn’t seem too pleased either. After Menino finished, she looked at her watch probably thinking, “There’s some time I’ll never get back.”
Menino claimed that education was his top priority when he was re-elected, and is now forwarding a plan to shutter nine schools. As a parent of one of the students effected, we have gotten no answer as to where my son will go next fall. When it seems as if investing the citys’ money in God knows what is a higher priority than the children of Boston, Mayor Menino gets a failing grade.
