The state party has announced that due to the achievement of 20-year status by the respective incumbents, the following seats have been declared vacant. If you are interested you must submit a letter to the state party by February 17th. Conferences consisting of delegates from the town and ward committees within the district will be held in March, but only if there is a contest.

I was hoping this post could serve as an open thread so that others would come forward and introduce themselves. I’ll start:
I’ve been active in Democratic politics since being on the board of the College Democrats of The George Washington University in DC. I have been a member of the board of the Young Democrats of Massachusetts off an on for a dozen years in various positions, and helped found the Merrimack Valley chapter thereof. I have served as secretary of my town committee and Greater Lowell Area Democrats. I have both worked for pay and volunteered on local, state, and federal campaigns and I distribute a newsletter of Democratic events in the Merrimack Valley.
