Scott Brown Fundraising with Marco Rubio in Florida

What do you do when you vote with the extreme right wing of the Republican party? Ask them for money. Scott Brown quietly took off for a few days to hang out with fellow co-sponsor of the Blunt Amendment Marco Rubio in Florida to attend a series of fundraisers.

US Senator Scott Brown is in Florida today raising money for his campaign with fellow freshman US Senator Marco Rubio, the Cuban-American Republican and Tea Party darling who was elected the same year as Brown.

But Brown’s campaign wasn’t exactly eager to broadcast his whereabouts.

Asked yesterday about the senator’s schedule for this week, a spokesman said he was unsure about Brown’s plans. In a separate interview today, he said he did not have details about the Florida trip.

Turns out, Brown has been on a two-day fundraising swing in Florida. Last night, he attended an “evening reception” at a private home in Bal Harbour, according to a list of the senator’s out-of-state fundraisers obtained by the Globe.

Today, Brown attended a Palm Beach luncheon whose hosts were listed as Pepe Fanjul and Darlene and Jerry Jordan, along with Rubio.

Tonight, Brown will attend a dinner hosted by Rubio and Ned Siegel, the former ambassador to the Bahamas.

Interesting timing there Scott.

  1. I do not want to hear one thing

about any out of state money Elizabeth Warren raises, then.

    Not. One. Thing.

At least Warren’s money comes from small donors at a grassroots level of support – people who like her so much they feel compelled to get her elected to the Senate because by being there, in effect she is sort of representing them too, by tipping the balance of power away from the Brown-McConnell wing.

  2. It's politics - people can say whatever they want

Warren is off to Hollywood this week.

    Lots of small donors there.

    • Did Brown wear his barncoat ....

      in Bal Harbour?

What a clown, it’s like F-troop over in the Brown campaign they attack Warren on a fundraising trip while refusing to answer questions on where Brown is over the past two days. Globe finally finds out he’s with Rubio and the far right wingers in Florida doing high brow fundraisers himself.

      What a bunch of F’ups.
