Today comes further signs that people really like Elizabeth Warren — and that they are willing to open their wallets to support her in her Senate race.

The outpouring of support to Warren’s campaign in the first quarter is amazing.  This morning, her campaign announced that she had raised 6.9 million dollars since the first of the year.  That’s more than double what Scott Brown brought in during the same period.  In addition, 2.5 million of her dollars came from within Massachusetts.  Some 30,000 people from every town except on across the state have donated to her campaign.

Be prepared for the Republicans to attack Elizabeth for raising out of state money, but remember how hypocritical it is when you hear it:  80% of his money the first time he ran came from out of state.

Of course, nobody should get complacent.  Scott Brown still has plenty of leftover money from last time and still has more than $4 million than Elizabeth Warren in his war chest.  And no doubt he is doubling up on his efforts to bring in corporate money and to ask Koch Brothers to write some big checks again.
