US District Judge Katherine Forest blocks the NDAA provision on indefinite detention.

Obama's ridiculous assertion the government has the power to detain anyone anywhere without trial or charge gets a well-deserved smack down. - promoted by Bob_Neer

Courthouse News reported today that Judge Forest in a 68 page decision blocked this Section as potentially being used to block dissent, and failing to pass constitutional muster.  See also coverage in Politico.    The NDAA was put under a temporary restraining order in part because it is so vague that no one can know for sure where they can go, what they can say, or what they can publish without being subject to indefinite detention.Photo courtesy of Shutterstock

  1. Here is a link to Judge Forrest's Order granting a TRO against the NDAA

The actual Order is here. Worth a read. Obama appointed Judge Forest – and she said NO to indefinite detention where the disallowed speeches and behaviors are not delineated.

    • Any crack in the concrete of tryanny is welcome.

As it comes from a NY District Court it has little power beyond that Court. But it is a beginning.

I see that government security apparatus is making people disappear before the NATO summit.

Who would have a contentious get-together in a city known far and wide for its violence and corruption? Then plan military operations, evacuations and dirty bomb hospital drills? What will the agent provocateurs will be doing, or the false flag operatives. The propaganda outlets?

The mayor of Chicago has said the security operations will be partly paid for by private funds. I wonder who?

The terrorists have won. And they control the country.
