Spotted this on a car parked on my street last week while walking my dog, and knew immediately it was BMG bound.
Yet another reminder that, much though Republicans disdain the idea, character does count in politics. GoodDogBadRomney.com:
68 percent of the electorate think it’s inhumane to put your dog in a kennel on the roof of your car. When told about Seamus, an amazing 17 percent of voters who support Romney say this incident makes them less likely to vote for him.
Romney cannot win without support from a majority of the country’s dog owners: 39 percent of US households own a dog. How appropriate if cruelty to the least of us, an innocent dog, renders him unfit to lead the greatest country in the world.

Didn’t Obama admit to eating dog when living overseas? I don’t believe he has any regrets either, only describing how it tasted. Howard Stern called China a godless country b/c they eat dog.
So Bob, if there is no room inside the car, should the Romney’s have kenneled the dog as they went on vacation? I find it ingenious Mitt found a way to bring the dog on the family vacation.

Back in the 80’s, people would ride in the bed of pickup trucks, myself included. Do you really see much of a difference?
Cruel? I have read the Romney’s say the dog learned to love the crate on the roof. It is just a dog, no?
So what would Bob do? Kennel the dog? Make Ann drive a separate car and burn more gasoline? Get rid of the dog entirely? Forgo all vacations until the dog dies?
Do all these dog lovers take their pets when they go on vacation? I bet they pawn them off on a neighbor or kennel them, b/c they want to be free of the responsibility. At least Mitt found a way for the entire family to go, more than I can say for most.

Should tell you all you need to know.

You find it ingenious that he couldn’t figure out how to tie the luggage to the luggage rack and let the dog ride inside the car? Your idea of what makes something ingenious is very different from min…

I saw a bumper sticker with that slogan on it. I believe it was from “Dogs Against Romney”.

When I try to decide whether something the opposing candidate did is worth getting upset about I ask myself how I would like it if my candidate did the same thing. I can’t imagine it changing my vote from my chosen candidate and I doubt those who prefer Romney’s proposals and philosophy are going to be swayed by this either.
