Ahhh, excuse me Ms. Vickie but you just went from a nine to a three on the ten point scale. Did anyone in the room suggest that this was a bad idea?
Holy shit! This would never happen if Teddy was alive (I say, I say, that’s a joke son).
Honestly Ms. Vickie – anyone remember the original Miss. Vicki and where she got married? – I am at a loss of words to explain the inappropriateness of your offer to host and promote – can anyone say Don Law? – the debate between the Republican incumbent and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate.
Seriously though, the wisecracks, the one liners, the set-ups, the bad puns, the obscure references, the poor analogies, the obscene slang, the personal venomous attacks, and everything else I spit-out on BMG with little effort has completely disappeared from my brain.
There is absolutely nothing stirring in my cranium that would give this pathetic move the Ernie treatment it so deserves.

One thing though, there is never ever any excuse for a MA state or local politician not to be aware of the Jewish holidays and schedule accordingly. It’s basic shit and always has been.

Anyhoo, too many people up the state house are having a miserable spring and summer because of visits to a federal grand jury in Worcester. The search for a crime and then suspects and then indictments continues.
Because this investigation resulted from an unethical mutually beneficial relationship between The S.J.C., Judge Mulligan, and the Globe, the feds fell for it and now are trying to get themselves out of this tar pit.
Remember how the first of the multi-part Globe Spotlight stories came out on a Sunday and the next day the SJC appointed a high powered lawyer with subpoena powers to investigate and stack the deck in favor of their own personal and professional ambitions and opportunities?
The feds thought they had a few indictments this past winter but according to Howie Carr the bosses in Washington may have nixed it. They couldn’t see any crimes committed.
The evidence supposedly included one legislator telling an official at his local court he would “shut it down” or something like that if he did not get what he wanted, probably a job for a constituent.
That was their best case I think and it was blocked.
Why? Because although outrageous it had no basis in fact or law. It was an idle threat that was impossible to carry out and the court official knew it.
And, it wasn’t standard operation procedure to say stuff like. It most likely was the legislator having a bad a day and letting off steam. There was no evidence of a quid pro quo nefarious motives. Just a guy pissed off and yelling at someone who was in his way. Federal crime? Of course not.
So now people are scared shitliess. And not as if Charley and Bob and David got together and killed me – Charley talked the others into it – then were pooping bricks worried about being caught. They know what they did and know exactly what for and why they are being investigated.
Perhaps the feds have another Sal, but I doubt it. People have done nothing wrong, know of nothing they did which looking back on is criminal, or know of others who acted in any criminal manner regarding anything. Yet they are being scrutinized for crimes yet to be determined.
All because Judge Mulligan and Jack O’Brien could not get along.

Man , thank god that piece of dirt Catherine Greig is behind bars. Doesn’t feel good?
I have to laugh how the local media tells the narrative of good guys and bad guys.
Most, and I stress most, of the victims were wise guys and a good number of these family members getting their rocks off in front of cameras are crap.
Puleeeeze, Stevie Rakes. He acts like the bad guys drew his name out of a barrel before taking over his new liquor store.
And then we have victims going back to a gang war. Bad guys in a gang war. Sure they were fathers and husbands. But fuck them.
