And I don’t agree with any of the adjectives. I just think it sounds silly (like how “big- fat- stupid” are always used in a row), but if that’s your writing style, go for it.

Let’s see. I see to recall a successful candidate for President that said he would abide by Federal limits and accept the public funding, but then changed his mind when he decided he could raise much more that that. Sleazy? Did the voters care? Did you?

The candidates chose to pursue these sleazy, dishonest, and self-serving tactics, not me. I understand that you don’t like seeing those three disparaging adjectives associated with your two candidates. Which of those adjectives is incorrect? Are you arguing that Mr. Tisei’s behavior is not “sleazy”? Is it not “dishonest”? Is it not “self-serving”? I actually DO have a low opinion of voters who can’t be bothered to actually inform themselves about the substance of a candidate, and who instead cast their votes based on media fluff and campaign lies. Some participants call them “low information” voters — I call them “ignorant”. It is the Scott Brown campaign that is betting this election on these ignorant voters being a majority in this campaign, not me.

“Millions”? Scott Brown was elected with 1,168,107 votes. Martha Coakley garnered 1,058,682 votes. I’m not sure that any candidate in Massachusetts garners “millions” of votes.

For an example of “allegedly independent”, please see our recent trolls — Scott Brown supporters (or operatives) who claimed to be “independent” while steadfastly promoting the GOP agenda.

I agree that that this political move makes political sense for Mr. Tisei. That doesn’t make it any less sleazy, dishonest, or self-serving.

So much for Richard Tisei’s claim to be some sort of reasonable and moderate Republican. He reveals himself to be the same sort of sleazy, dishonest, and self-serving opportunist as Scott Brown and the rest of the GOP field.

I fail to see how any allegedly “independent” voter who has any sense of decency, commitment to American values, and — for that matter — commitment to basic standards of rational, literate discourse and governance can pull the lever for these light-weights.

I guess that’s why the Massachusetts GOP remains dead.
