Listen folks, I have two things to tell you and neither one you are gonnah wannah hear.
First is the Elizabeth Warren campaign. What the hell is going on over there? It’s a sketch comedy with the Vickei Kennedy debate fiasco the hot new skit and character. A fuckin’ riot.
So now the campaign is about Vickie and Dems are allowing it. This is so funny. All the infighting that must be going on. Don’t forget Little Joe’s run for Congress. Vickie’s hey-look-at-me move doesn’t help the family business right now.
Man, Eric Ferhnstrom must of thought someone was putting him on when he saw the invite. Gold! Fucking gold!.
The Democratic party, especially in this state, continues to be a victim of its own smugness.

Second thing on my mind is more painful for some I suppose. This blog is becoming so bombastic and over-the-top in it’s support of Liz Warren that it’s credibility is waning. The same ole shit day after day.
BMG has turned into the liberal version of Fox News times Rush Limbaugh cubed. It’s getting more and more boorish.

28 Comments . Leave a comment below. This was just hilarious from the Globe. It reminds me of Scott Brown’s votes against jobs for Massachusetts residents, combined with his complaints about the economy, or perhaps his claims for clean campaigning combined with his staff’s Twitter smear against a rival.
As to Vicki Kennedy, no one cares very much about her involvement, it doesn’t seem to me, except for exceptionally committed Democrats and perhaps some of the far right. Good for firing up both bases, I suppose, but they won’t decide the election.
As to being pro-Warren, that’s just because BMGers, like you, love their Commonwealth and their country and want the best for both, and won’t stand for a New York/Wall Street loyalist like Scott Brown — who proposed closing Fenway Park! — representing them.
so you agree with me Bob?
Yankee Stadium is magnificent!!! Fenway Park is a DUMP!!!!!!! It is a disgrace Red Sox fans have to sit in a latrine of a facility. Seriously, we need new owners with deep pockets to build a new Fenway. I will never attend a BoSox game, unless they are visiting the visiting team.
Why not just say you’ll never go to a Red Sox game?
I will go to a Red Sox game, so long as it ain’t at Fenway. That is what I want to say.
it’s just Scott Brown avoiding issues. He will gladly do anything, if not this, then it’s something else. He will find something and the Herald will make it a front page story. You are better than that.
The only response is to ask Brown to discuss his votes and defend them and tell us why he’s best to represent us.
Has he done that yet?
Everything else including your post is just BS.
I trace the change roughly to the organization of the BMG PAC. But just an opinion. BTW, are you Editors making any substantial money off this site? Is that reported anywhere?
BMG has been profitable from its inception, but all of the money it yields has gone back into the site, not to the editors, sadly. As to the PAC, that has been dormant for a very long time. Someone may be getting bought off, but it is not BMG.
Just trying to keep everyone honest. Power corrupts- consider it a compliment.
Because I’m laughing hysterically right now.
election cycle. It was awful during the Obama/Clinton primary. Part of the political blogosphere’s function–right and left–is to operate as an amplifier and echo chamber. Those are legitimate roles
It just gets boring when the day’s posts concern Scott Brown’s many shortcomings. I like to make fun of our junior senator as much as the next person, but overall, I like to be edified or edfiying. Most Brown posts don’t accomplish that.
I think of it as the signal-to-noise ratio. During the six or eight months before the election, the ratio asymptotically approaches zero.
I agree that lately, it has been in the RMG zone. It will be better by December, after the [gloating/wondering why stupid people are so stupid that they won't do what is best for themselves and vote for smart Democrats, geez its a wonder they even know how to put on pants they are so ignorant] winds down.
It’s too bad that when a thread is offered that is NOT about Scott Brown/Elizabeth Warren, it is immediately overrun by right-wing trolls.
I think this is the fruit of a GOP campaign that has already been marked by extraordinary viciousness and plain boorishness. While some of this is to be expected, I think we’re also experiencing echoes of an unnecessarily strident GOP campaign.
Certainly compared to the stream of Scott Brown is a poopy-head posts that have been passing by.
Well, we’ve got a Senate race that is on one hand the focus of national attention and local hysteria; and which on the other hand has been pretty vacuous and uninteresting in terms of content. Admitted that we’re mostly just following the soccer ball wherever it gets kicked.
Maybe we need to read a book. lolz
editors and posters with Scott Brown. Nationally people are wondering why we’re not going after Brown MORE in this whole debate debacle.
I’ve asked our differently-winged friends not to change the subject on a thread started by one of my diaries and he obliged. Personally, I don’t regard most of said folks as trolls. Typical troll behavior: 1) starting an argument and not finishing it 2) responding/attacking you on an issue you haven’t raised 3) choosing to respond to a fragment of your argument and ignoring the main point 4) adding unfunny snark and nothing else.
These are sins that we all commit at times, and as long as I think someone is giving a good, honest argument, I can’t consider him/her a troll.
Now that there is a nominee why WOULDN’T this site be strongly and unabashedly pro-Warren?
If every day there’s another diary about how Brown voted against kittens or won’t return Warren’s phone calls, it means the diaries about important stuff get missed. Plus, there’s been very little pro-warren stuff on here, the last I can remember is someone saying she was a hero for calling for Jamie Dimon to resign from some board of something. Has there been any pro-warren stuff since then?
Go elsewhere. No really, please, do us a big favor. You add nothing to this site, so go be a heck-of-a-job-Brownie troll somewhere else.
Yeah I know, DFTT.
I went back ten pages through the front page posts and couldn’t find one diary about Warren, except for a couple videos that were linked without comment. Does anyone have any good things to say about Warren, can anyone tell me her proposals or positions? This site is all tickytack fouls on Brown and it’s wearing thin for lots of readers besides me.
… which might just be the purpose of politics on the web. Isn’t it just an ammo cache against the enemies?
Really Ernie, this from you whose real boorishness often turns me off to your otherwise informative and interesting posts. You are always clear about your opinions and so is BMG, and I enjoy both of you very much.
Deep breaths.
Independents see Brown as a wimp? Win.
(Dim-witted) Independents who buy Brown’s spin? Well, the blame goes toward Vicky, and EW has another chance to woo some of them if Brown goofs up in even bigger ways at some point down the road.
(I say that because most of these people are going to be Brown-leaners anyway, so they’ll need to see him pull something incredibly stupid to be swayed… but I won’t put it past him.)
So, no lose.
Vicky Kennedy, in this way, has unwittingly acted like the perfect surrogate: made the opposition look bad while deflecting any bad press on her candidate.
This has been a very good news cycle, right on top of the last news cycle in this race, with her victory at the convention.
once it’s all said and done?
right now it’s a no-brainer
Why else would they be sent here to look proudly expose themselves as idiots?
