Here’s some general information on the event and the reason for the fundraiser. You can RSVP here. If you simply want to donate but can’t attend, click here.

Since I somehow inadvertently deleted my post, I am including some of the text here…

Most, if not all, regular BMG readers know Amberpaw. She is a prolific and long time poster here. She is Deborah Sirotkin Bulter in the real world. I first met Deb on BMG and got to know her when she was elected to the DSC. While Deb and I don’t always agree, I admire her passion.

BMG is one of her many communities. She has supported BMG and been part of our community in countless ways. She attended several of our BlogLeft meetings and gatherings, She came to the BMG canvass I organized in 2008. She attended the BMG fundraising concert at Jordan Hall. She came, essentially representing BMG, to lolorb’s memorial service a few year’s ago. Last year she organized a gathering of BMGers after the U. S. Senate candidate debate in Lowell. She is always generous in thanks to people who are working for the Democratic Party, our causes and candidates. And she has always contributed what she can financially to candidates and others in need.

Now Deb needs us. Her husband, Marc, has Stage IV pancreatic cancer. Deborah has been largely unable to work due to the time involved in caring for Marc. They are also struggling with very high health insurance deductible payments.

We at BMG are a community. As community members we support each other if we can.  Please consider donating here if you feel comfortable doing so.
