It’s great because it’s a foreigner so it is not self-serving and everyone loves a brogue, even when they’re telling you to screw.
I always felt like 40% of the Irish adult public was capable of a wonderfully poignant, thoughtful, and informative rant like that, but that only 1% would be willing to actually say it. The others were content to draw comments out of me without offering any of their own, which admittedly, isn’t very hard to do.
and there are families that haven’t spoken for generations and no one knows why. But it would break their dear dead mother’s heart if they were caught saying hello to one of them.
