Opera on the Esplanade – tonight!

Don't cross the streams!

I rarely cross the streams, so to speak, between my blogging and musical lives.  But I’m making an exception for this concert: Boston Lyric Opera and Boston Landmarks Orchestra are teaming up to present a free concert of some of opera’s greatest hits tonight (Wednesday, August 8) at 7 pm at the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade.  I’m proud to be part of the six-member cast of singers.  The music is beautiful; the setting is amazing; the weather is supposed to be perfect.  So grab your picnic basket and lawn chairs, and come join us!

    Are you going to cross the streams again and let us johnny-come-latelies know how it went. Any rowdies in the crowd? Fisticuffs? Country-n-Western music spontaneously break out? How’d it go?
