7 Up

Update: Comment from Warren campaign manager Doug Rubin:

Be Wary of Polls
I assume there will be a lot of polls in the next 3 weeks – and they will likely be all over the map. Just a word of caution to not focus on the poll results but on the important work we have left to do at the grassroots level. Talking to friends, neighbors, co-workers, knocking on doors, and helping get people out to the polls will make the difference in this election.
Yes — this is the time to keep the pedal to the metal.

Oh by the way, another poll, this one by YouGov:

In the state’s headline-grabbing U.S. Senate race, Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Warren has taken a lead of 7 points over incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown, 46%-39%. The race was dead-even in September (44%-44%) but it appears to have broken in Warren’s favor.

Now I’m seeing Gail Huff in my TV talking about how Elizabeth Warren should stick to talking about jobs and the economy and not Scott Brown’s record on women’s issues, since he’s totally into women and is married to one and stuff.

Good gravy, Henry VIII had women in his household … not exactly a high bar, folks.

And furthermore, this just shows the #HarvestofFail from harping on one miniscule morsel of oppo research — ie. Warren’s heritage claims — all the way into October. Dumb dumb dumb. Much better to have cultivated a good reason for people to vote for you, which Brown couldn’t manage in two+ years in the Senate. Oh well.

  1. The irony

or is it hypocrisy? of Huff complaining about Warren not talking about the issues. MY GOD. What big giant brass ones that campaign seems to have.

    • I don't think anyone's buying it

Voters seem to know who’s been negative and talking about non-issues in this campaign.

Let’s not forget, also, that “women’s issues” are actual policy issues in the U.S. Senate, while the focus on Warren’s heritage and the Travelers and LTV cases is pure attempted character assassination.

  2. Ah, 7Up, so refreshing

with no bitter Republican after taste.

Gail can Huff and Puff that EW should stick to the issues. But Brown’s record IS the ISSUE. And his past votes are a sure indicator of how he will continue to vote. After being in bed with Wall Street for 2 years, his votes are looking like ugly open sores.

  3. One thing not discussed in Brown's ad ...

    Issues.

  4. After all those years of standing out on 128 to report on snowstorms and rainstorms, you would think Ms. Huff would know which way the wind blows.

  5. Be Wary of Polls
