I just think this photo (via the Globe’s Noah Bierman) is hilarious. Scott Brown rolls out Bill Weld in what, to judge from the plain fluorescent light fixture, unadorned walls, and unmanned signs, looks like a hastily-arranged event inside a warehouse somewhere. And Weld – wow, what a sourpuss. :D

Hang up a poster or something.
In his basement, behind the boiler, next to his law office?
Most New Yorkers hate coming to Boston for a variety of reasons, why is Briwn hanging out with a Yankees and Giants fans anyway?
This week, Brown was one of the 296 senators and representatives in the 112th Congress given the Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence issued by the National Association of Manufacturing.
The trade group, based in Washington D.C., honored a class of mostly Republican legislators, although the several Democrats named didn’t include any other members of the Massachusetts delegation.
and we all know what a swell bunch of guys they are, too.
I get that you are being sarcastic here. But, for others who might not, I think it’s instructive to look at the National Association of Manufacturing “Election Guide” for a sense of their not-so moderate agenda: http://nam-voterguide.rededge.com/district/MA/7
Their preferred politicians support the following (all issues, in order):
Maintaining all the Bush tax cuts (income tax rates; estate taxes, etc).
Reducing the corporate tax rate “to 25 percent or lower.”
Strict “cost/benefit” analysis of business regulations.
Building the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada to Texas.
No federal regulation of hydraulic fracturing.
More off-shore drilling.
Repealing Obamacare.
More free trade agreements (lower export taxes)
Oppose the Employee Free Choice Act (and other pro-labor laws).
More tort reform.
I make assumptions…
More free trade? What are the the National Association of Chinese Manufactuerers?
… they put their heads together and got one good idea between them…
