FactCheck.org: Brown’s Asbestos Attack Ad a Distortion

What's next? A claim by Brown that he is an independent. Factcheck would have to rate that "pants on fire:" he is a Republican. - promoted by Bob_Neer

FactCheck.org reviewed Scott Brown’s asbestos attack ads and Elizabeth Warren’s response and concluded that Warren’s version is correct, Brown’s ads distorted the truth. (emphasis mine)

Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and challenger Elizabeth Warren are accusing each other of “not telling the truth.” Brown says Warren worked to “restrict payments” to asbestos victims, while Warren says she worked to “get more money” for them. We find Warren is correct; Brown’s ad is a distortion.

Something we already knew, and documented, but it’s nice to have an independent group provide an analysis.

Now that an independent group has outed Brown’s attacks as distortions, how will he respond? Will he still push these ads, and what does that say about him?

  1. As of yesterday...

…Brown ads about the asbestos case were still on the air.

  2. He'll have Gail Huff make

another commercial telling Elizabeth Warren to stop picking on him.

  3. Will She?

Will Gail have an ad saying the Taunton Gazette was being mean for calling Brown out for insulting asbestos family victims?
