Will the Z-Z Top looking Red Sox win their first World Series in Boston since 1918? Are the Cardinals frustrated for having to sit hours on a runway in St. Louis after dropping the last 2 games?
I say Sox win in a blowout, the stars are aligned properly and the Big Mo is with the Home Team.

AGAIN!!!!!!!!
This is our fucking city!

in this celebration. Just curious as to why there is such a need to destroy property at times like these?
fenway49 says
to flip cars, but you’re talking about five meatheads (who might not even really be fans) out of a few million people happy about this. Jconway’s not flipping cars, he’s not even in the state.
jconway says
For half the series though which was awesome!
I did miss the rest of it though.
In 2007 I caught the last game in a Chicago deep dish pizza joint some U Chicago friends and I went to. I let them go on to Karaoke without me so I could finish watching the game, which I saw with the chef of the pizza place (a Roslindale native) and we high fived each other and ran into the streets. No car flipping from me, Grampa Conway almost did when a guy in an MG cut him off in the 60s.

….was at the general premise that we need not destroy property. Not at equating David Ortiz’s “This is our fucking City!” line to jconway in anyway participating in the very limited hooligan behavior. đŸ™‚

it is just so easy to piss off Red Sox fans. You guys are so thin skinned.
mike_cote says
what the hell!
Christopher says
…but why do you seem so bitter?
danfromwaltham says
Talk about destruction of property, let alone the drugs and filth they left behind.
geoffm33 says
Would you take one dead Emerson student? How about a dead Northeastern student?
danfromwaltham says
Many sang the praises of Occupy Wall Treet, some even claimed to be the inspiration of the movement. Yet, there is always one who pops the balloons at the birthday party b/c a few got out of hand.
geoffm33 says
They have nothing to do with each other. Period. There doesn’t have to be balance in criticism. They can each be criticized, but why against each other. Ask the parents of the deceased students in past celebrations which is worse.
mike_cote says
Seriously, it is not worth it.
danfromwaltham says
I would rather to Sox lose their World Series titles to get back that one student who lost her life in one if the celebrations, but that’s not what happened last night. Finally, Menino had enuff forces in the street to keep the peace, I would have had The National Guard out there just so nobody got killed.
It’s tiresome having Mr. Negative smear the thousands who celebrated in a responsible manner, because of the acts of a few. Compare the ratios to that of those that camped out and destroyed public parks during Occupy Wall Street, it’s not even close.
Christopher says
…you don’t care so much about the public parks as you hate OWS’s message. OWS never hurt anyone.

Maybe you should give this thread a pass.

before Game 7 against the Yankees, I said we’d had a lot of close games and the Yankees had their 19-8 blowout, but the Sox blowout was yet to come. I was hesitant to say the same this year since the Sox had a blowout win in Game 1, but I was hoping we’d have another one. And we did.
Only dicey moment was when Farrell left Lackey in there and he walked Holliday to load the bases. Once Tazawa got Craig to end that mess, I felt real good about this one.
