So MSNBC thought it was newsworthy to flash the Romney family picture and point out the little baby on his right knee. Instead of praising one of Mitt’s sons for adopting a kid, the snickering and laughing and mocking of the photo and Republicans became the focal point of this segment. “One of these things is not like the others” was heard singing by one panelists, one mentioned something about the diversity of the Republican Party, and on CNN, Marc Lamont Hill said “Some would say maybe that it’s an exploitative picture that they’re exploiting the kid by hauling out this black person …”
I would expect this kind do “humor” or thinking to come from Bill Maher and his show. Bill is known for picking on children, as he did when he made fun of Sarah Palin’s special needs baby. But I would think the bar is set a little higher at a so-called news organization. To Marc Lamont Hill, should Mitt have turned the baby around so as not to see his face, or kept him out of the picture entirely? I never knew showing a smiling happy family picture could ever seem as exploitive.

We don’t agree on much, but I can’t really see how anyone can agree with the panelists on this. Sometimes things just are as they seem.

I asked if he noticed anything different or unusual. I inflated the picture and zoomed in on Mitt and the kids on his lap. He guessed Mitt’s shoes or Ann Romney. So after a minute or two, I asked him if he noticed the baby on Mitt’s leg, the baby’s color, etc. He said “yeah, ummm, is that Obama’s baby”?

I guess in Waltham, you are only entitled to have opinions when they insult 10% of the population, but don’t you dare try to make a joke that harms exactly no one.

“I pray devoutly everyday, but being a Christian is no excuse for being stupid.”
The Bible does not constitute a strong defense, even and maybe especially for practicing discerning Christians.

But when it comes to certain lifestyles, they mostly come down on the same side. Phil ain’t the first time I ever heard that, nor will he be the last. But the comparison was made to what MSNBC said, so I am asking if the point of reference is the same.

all I did was quote the title of your diary back to you, you are offended by what someone said on MSNBC, well I am offended by the pathetic publicity stunt by A&E, the comparison is that two different people expressed an opinion and in one case, you are running to their defense and in the other, you are moral outraged. And now it appears you are too feeble minded to see the irony of defending a totally classless bigot while at the same time getting all “high and mighty” about a harmless lame little joke.

Just pointing out what MSNBC thinks of Mitt holding one of his grandkids. What would have happened in Fox News did the same segment?

3) The Government Shutdown was fantastic.
and last but certainly not least: “When are we going to see the real birth certificate?”
Please, there isn’t enough time in the day, to itemize all the offensive crap that Fox deficates on the air daily!

…the same thing that happened to John McCain in South Carolina in 2004 would have happened to Mitt.

MSNBC, not the host, not the show, but MSNBC belittles Romney’s grandson. Perhaps we could go further:
The television belittled Romney’s grandson.
