Not bad for a guy who has yet to announce, no? Now we know why a Democrat PAC started running negative ads against Scott. The question now is not if, but when will Scott announces his candidacy for U.S. Senate of NH. I predict he will go on tour soon, and after various town halls and changes the registration on his GMC truck to NH, Scott will make it official by the end of March, and humbly offer his bi-partisan services to the fine people of New Hampshire.
Inside the poll, Obama has a 41% approval rating, but that’s what you get when you lie about your signature bill. Jeanne is well ahead of every other Republican in the survey, but fails to get even 50% against far-right Republicans. The only way I see Jeanne saving her seat, is if Obama appoints Scott Brown to a cabinet position or ambassadorship somewhere.

He’ll be most popular in NH right before he announces. Once people get to know him they’ll quickly figure out that there’s no “there, there.” The term empty suit was coined for Scotty B. The guy got elected in Mass. because Coakley ran the worst campaign ever.
danfromwaltham says
Like a trained parrot, Jeanne repeated the lies of Obamacare and unlike the zombie voters of Massachusetts, the jig is up in NH. Sure, NH has a large segment of voters that just vote Democrat, and like a barking seal, are trained to vote party line, even for brazen liars like Shaheen.
So throw the “empty suit” or “nothing there, there” lines all you want. Is that the emergency lever that is pulled since you can’t scare voters that Brown will end abortion rights, since he is pro-choice? My advise is not to use the term “empty suit” since Scott still serves in The National Guard and wore a different “suit” while training in Afghanistan a couple years ago.
A little advise, just dust off the tired old playbook, and say Brown favors Big Banks, Big Oil, and tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires. Now, can’t you see all the barking seals asking for more, when you say that?

Also, Brown just crushes everyone in a Republican primary. I tell ya, this state is built for Scott Brown. Shaheen quits race by June.

You always assume the Sox, Pats, and Bruins are going to fail and almost root for them to do so. Then you defend a guy who ditched a state he represented and had a decent shot at winning his Senate seat back against a politico you despise (Markey) and instead moved to NH to carpetbag. If a celebrity Democrat from MA moved to NH to run you’d be incensed and you know it.
danfromwaltham says
I’d be careful of using the word ‘carpetbagger’. Jeanne Shaheen grew up in PA.
mike_cote says
in fact, there are still some very old monuments in Nashua that refer to it being Dunstable, MA, because Dunstable got split when New Hampshire became its own colony, ergo, Scott Brown isn’t a carpet bagger because of the way in which King George III would have viewed the area. I base all my decision upon how King George III would have viewed things, and if you don’t, what the hell is wrong with you???
jconway says
Grammatically, when you state “and he helped settle NH” you are claiming that Scott Brown helped settle NH. That would be a ridiculous claim to make.
Secondly, my ancestry in Ireland and Italy goes back even further than 1634-possible thousands of years-and I ain’t running for Parliament in Italy or the Dáil in Erin anytime soon!

Enuff said, just don’t use that word again.
