The Globe’s new Capital has a puff piece of its old lawyer from Bingham Dana and current state gaming commissioner Jim McHugh who is now chairing the hearings on the Boston license.
The smartest man in the room, who shouldn’t be talking to the media btw, told the Globe that he does not expect a tie vote on Everett/Revere license because
“The goal really is for the four of us — and I think we’ve all bought into this entirely — to be a group of four that is working tirelessly at every step of the way to find grounds to agree.”
Is this South Dakotaian familiar with word “independent”? Could you imagine Judge Gants saying he expects most SJC decisions to be 7-0? That holds true for any administrative law board, like the Gaming Commission.
Hey Jim, you are making it so easy for Caesars in making their claim the board is not on the level. Are you threatening or trying to embarrass other commissioners who don’t plan on following your lead?
Word on the street immediately after Crosby’s exit was that the board was split 2 to 2 between Everett and Revere.
AND King Arthurs is still closed.
Stop the insanity!
