It appears that David was prescient in writing about Uber. They are political. NYT, emphasis mine:
Mr. Plouffe, who ran President Obama’s 2008 campaign, said he planned to run Uber’s communication efforts much like a political race, pushing to woo consumers and regulators alike in the company’s fast-paced expansion across the world.
Good luck to Mr. Plouffe. Maybe he’ll make them nicer.

Let’s see what golden parachutes the other administration officials will get. Admittedly, though I am biased, the U Chicago Institute of Politics has been a net positive for the University and the wider community as a well. So can’t really argue with Axelrod on where he ended up. Juries still out on uber…

unless you have to take a taxi in a major American city. I hope they or someone can break the “medallion” racket the same way I hope Tesla can break the “car dealers protecting you” racket.
“Sell out” seems a wee bit harsh. What must they do to escape your disdain? Apply for unemployment?
