Wasn’t this a great bonding experience we all just went through? Tom Brady took us on an outward bound trip and now we are stronger, wiser, and closer.
Together we watched as:
1. NFL official tells Patriots “we gotcha now” on sidelines of AFC Championship game. Hmmm, “we gotcha now?” Have the Patriots been a target? If so why?
2. NFL leaks false information about air pressure reduction. This false info becomes the national narrative and NFL does not correct it.
3. ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and some other powerful corporations (Sony) are business partners with the NFL in deals worth billions of dollars. This represents significant portions of the networks revenue stream.
4. The word went out. CBS and NBC opened their nightly news broadcast questioning Tom Brady’s ethics. ESPN personalities-went-on-a-shoot-first-and-never-ask-questions- rape of Tom Brady’s character. So did Felger and Mazz and others at CBS owned The Sports Hub. The list goes on and on.
5. NFL hires Ted Wells to do investigation. Wells reports back that there is not enough scientific evidence to show t the balls were deflated by means other than natural conditions. Wells does tell his client, the NFL, that Brady was “generally aware” of the scheme. Wells gave his client what they wanted, assassinate the good name of Tom Brady. However, the Wells Report did not make the case for disciplinary action.
6. Despite the Wells Report the NFL moves forward and disciplines Brady. He changes the Wells report arbitrarily states the balls were purposely deflated. Those paying attention were baffled. (By paying attention I mean read the Wells Report and has a slim understanding of fair play and the law)
7. Because we were paying attention New England sports fans saw first hand the diabolical acts that powerful organizations can perform and the incestuous relationships the media has with these powerful organizations.
8. What we saw was appalling. What was worse? The NFL’s actions or the national media and Felger and Mazz’s selective reporting and specious fallback arguments. What’s funny is Felger and Mazz were talking to an educated audience. That’s the amazing part. For the first time we were all paying attentions to the details. Their ratings will take a hit I suspect.
9. It took a person with Tom Brady’s record, charisma, intelligence, ethics, and money to fight back and have the public (New England sports fans) pay attention.
10. What we got was an education in how the world works. Happens everyday. This is what Elizabeth Warren’s been complaining about.
Here’s two examples
—–
Let’s start with John Connolly. Three things you need to know. Three simple things:
1. The Miami Law School Innocence Project represents Connolly in his Florida case. It chooses very few clients to represent from thousands of yearly requests. Before it takes on a case it does a thorough investigation of both the case and history of the convicted criminal. They have concluded that John Connolly has been screwed over by the Justice Department since day 1.
2. John Connolly is accused of protecting Whitey from state and local investigators. The state prosecutor who spent more time than anyone chasing Whitey and his underlings only to be thwarted by John Connolly believes he is innocent.
His name is Matt Connolly. He was a retired top-level assistant district attorney. When the news broke he hated Connolly. When John Connolly was first tried in Boston Matt Connolly went to the trial. As he sat there and watched he did a 180. He became convinced that John Connolly is being framed, Assistant US Attorney Fred Wyshak and a top fed named Margolis are behind it, and the incestuous Moakley Courthouse turns a blind eyes and let it happens.
3. There are close to 100 former FBI agents, including Joe Pistone AKA Donnie Brasco (played by Johnny Depp) who believe John Connolly is being framed by the Justice Department (Wyshak/Margolis) and are vocal about it.
But, like the Brady case the Feds have bought off the media. Black Mass is full ofnumerous holes and lies. I will spell them out in future posts.
How do all those Globies sleep at night? Seriously. They are evil people. They kid themselves they are not. But when they are alone in their thoughts they must be haunted.

Here’s another example, casino gambling and the Wynn project.
First off we all know Wynn came in and bought off everyone he could. (legally I mean) Bill Weld (Crosby connection) and Mintz Levin, the media with highly lucrative ad contracts, and anyone else who may raise a stink.
Who predicted a week after Steve Crosby was appointed chairman the Gaming Commission would end up being sued? Who was it? That’s right, it was me.
If you were paying attention to Steve Crosby and the Gaming Commission the same as following the Brady case you would say with the same confidence that the Commission isn’t on the level. Different rules for different people and result oriented rather than fair and independent. Clear as day.
So I wonder why Commonwealth Magazine people are writing stories about the casino as if they were ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reporting on deflatagate.
Then I check the masthead of MassInc, the non-profit publisher. Sure enough the chairman of the board is a partner at Mintz Levin, (on Wynn’s payroll) and the board is made of power brokers and people representing power brokers.
See, everyone is full of it.
But we all have to work.

How many blue collar Massachusetts voters will see the value of labor unions, now that their beloved Brady was saved because of the support of his union brothers?
My guess is that the corporate media will not push this story at all…..

Brady never had things turn around for him until the union started taking charge, and brought it’s experienced and winning lawyers with them.
One of the most fundamental reasons to support having a union is because a union will protect you from being arbitrarily penalized or fired.
Workers have almost no rights if they don’t have a collective bargaining agreement, and what few rights they would otherwise have are completely trampled on because employers know the employees under their thumbs couldn’t afford a lawyer (at least for long) and don’t have any experienced representative (ie, from a union) to offer advice, file complaints or otherwise fight on their behalf.
There are a lot of good things unions do, but that’s the most fundamental and important one beyond having a collective bargaining agreement itself.

… published reports John Connolly is being represented by a lawyer by the name of Manuel Alvarez who is identified as a public defender.
There is no mention of either Alvarez or Connolly on the website for The Innocence Project nor does the “Innocence Clinic” at the MiamI School of Law return anything other than “404 not found” leaving us unable to determine exactly their relationship to the Innocence Project.
What is the basis for your assertion that “The Miami Law School Innocence Project represents Connolly in his Florida case“???
eb3-fka-ernie-boch-iii says
The Miami Innocence project is part of Connolly’s legal team and has done much of the preliminary investigations and legal research which has helped in the fight against the Wyshak/Margolis federal government’s Bradying of Connolly.
(Remember, you heard it here first. It means getting targeted then destroyed by The Man. Could be your boss)
Despite team Wyshak being sworn in as Florida special state prosecutors so they could retry Connolly on a murder he was acquitted of in the Moakley Building the Florida Appeals Court is split and the language from the dissent is direct.
Unfortunately, if you read the opinion you will see that with the help of Team Wyshark/Margolis the have created a persona that John Connolly is the most evil man ever to roam the earth. Whitey Bulger is the second because Connolly created him.
The result oriented Florida Justice judges who decided against him have been bamboozled into having to keep Connolly in jail despite the facts of this case. A
Anyway, I googled it and here is the very first hit. The Innocence Clinic’s Facebook page.

When in fact some students (not actually empowered to REPRESENT anyone) wrote a brief that the judges ignored.

…You stated the flat assertion that the innocence project REPRESENTED Connolly. That is not true. Connolly is represented by a public defender.
At best the Innocence Project weighed in with a brief, in 2013, that was not ruled upon. In other words, their contribution made no difference to the outcome of the 2014 case. They did not represent him. They filed a brief in support of him in a case that is wholly separate from the appeal that is going on right now. Nothing indicates that the Innocence Project is following up on the Innocence Clinic’s (if it still exists at Miami Law) tertiary involvement.
No information currently, here and now, in today’s non-Ernie non-Bizarro world of 2015 connects the Innocence Project to John Connolly. The best you can do is link to 2013 facebook page that has a dead link to the Miami “Innocence Clinic”

… cause it certainly seems you want to believe ‘whatever’ fits your pre-conceived notions.
If you want to make the following statement:
You have to prove:
— That the Innocence Project is associated with the Innocence Clinic at Miami Law.
— That the “Innocence Clinic” has “thousands of yearly requests”.
— That they publicly chose to represent Connolly after “A thorough investigation”.
— That they concluded “John Connolly has been screwed over by the Justice Department” as opposed to a technical reading of procedure and process that makes no determination of guilt or innocence.
If you want to use all those things to bolster your case then they need to be true for them to actually bolster your case.
Or you could just admit you made it all up in a desperate attempt to get Fred Wyshak to notice you
dave-from-hvad says
which you linked to in your first comment, petr. The Innocence Project appears to be associated with the Cardozo Law School in New York City. That might explain why no references to Connolly came up when you searched the Innocence Project’s website. I fail to understand why you are requiring ernie to prove the two are connected. Also, do you really need to use crude sexual references in attacking someone’s argument? I read and participate on BMG to engage in and keep up with Massachusetts politics. It’s annoying to have to read so many threads on this site that turn into middle-school level brawls. I’m not a prude, but at least try to be original or funny if you absolutely have to use masturbation references.
petr says
… Because they could be connected. Or not. I still don’t know. Point is, neither does he. It remains unclear, even at this latter date, whether the OP considers them two separate entities or if he’s conflating the one with the other, either deliberately in order to use the cachet of the one to burnish the efforts of the other or he’s just clueless.
The OP used two terms “represent” and “Innocence Project”. He may have meant ‘advised” and “Innocence Clinic” but he flubbed them and used two terms that have specific meaning and context. He then went on to describe the work of the “Miami Innocence Project” as sounding suspiciously like the efforts of the Innocence Project associated with Cardoza Law at Yeshiva. He also used the present tense failing to distinguish between past efforts and current appeals.
If you note my initial post on this thread I simply pointed out that Connolly was represented by a PD, I could access no information on the “Innocence Clinic” and asked him to state the basis for his assertion that the “Innocence Project” Instead of a civil reply, the OP doubled down, pointed me to Howie Carr and a facebook page (both 2 years old) and told me to go out and play. Maybe I got a little snippy in return. Ok. Guilty.
But I remain unclear if the extent of the involvement of either the Innocence Project or the Innocence Clinic at Miami Law. I tend to doubt the involvement of the Innocence Project because they mainly do heavily vetted cases involving DNA analysis to refute unreliable witnesses. That’s sorta their metier. I’m not clear on how that might translate to assistance in the Connolly trial which is about the technical aspects of the definition of second-degree murder and whether or not his actions distinctly made him eligible or if prosecutors fudged the margins on the definitions to make him eligible. Maybe they did. That doesn’t however speak to his guilt or innocence. It is entirely possible the prosecutors pulled every dirty trick in the book to put Connolly away… and that he is also guilty.
As I already elaborated upon, I can find no clear information on the Innocence Clinic at Miami Law.
The OP’s onanistic tendencies are a long established practice at BMG. I suppose I could use a euphemism but it’s be the same affect: whenever someone feverishly strokes their fantasies in public… well, it is what it is. I suppose if I saw someone masturbating on the street I might strive for originality and/or hilarity in describing what I saw… but I certainly wouldn’t say it was not what it was… Which is kinda what I think you’re trying to tell me to do. What would you call it?
