Anyway I was not going to say anything about Stan Rosenberg and his problems on the home front showing up at his job. Nope. No sireee. Everyone else is doing it. Low hanging fruit. Amateur hour.
That was until I read today’s Herald and see that Stan The Man With The Plan was “taken aback” because the media wrote that his controversial fiancé famous for telling state senators he is a power broker is considering a run for an open senate seat.
When asked whether he thinks his sexuality is the reason for the spotlight on his personal life, he replied, simply, “Yes.”
“I think just it’s offensive to focus so much on an individual’s personal life when it has nothing to do with my performance every day on the job … I really wish I didn’t have to weather that kind of personal nonsense.”
Stan’s fiancé has never run for office and has no connection with the district. Funny how he’s never considered running for state rep. or city council or selectman, or dogcatcher. Nope, not for him.
It’s sad to watch. Stan is clueless so he plays the gay card. F You Stan. Using civil rights as an excuse for your short comings.
You are a bigger joke than Bob Kraft and his young blonde plaything. You do know that, right?
Hey, did you hear that Bob Kraft’s girlfriend was going to try out for the Patriots but decided not to? No. You didn’t?
Yeah, it got a lot of press. People laughed and made fun of her and the old man. Then Kraft came out swinging and said there was nothing wrong with what she wanted to do and anti-Semitism stoked the story.
That’s what you did Stan.
Anyway, this is the same Senate Prez who lasted one term as Ways and Means chair 20 years ago. By all accounts he never learned why. Nice guy but his term so far has been a disaster and the fault lays squarely with him.
But the Globe being the Globe writes a ridiculous editorial the other day saying Stan is the hero and Bob DeLeo should do whatever Stan wants.
Stan came into the job wanting to show off his big guns, He thought he could change laws and take power away from the house and give it to the senate.
That shows he is mentally challenged. You see people, math is very important in passing laws. You have to count and add. Stan had 40 out 40 votes in the Senate for his proposed law while the House had 162 against.
His proposal went nowhee. Who da thunk?
Time for Stan to go. He is regressive not progressive. And blaming the woes caused by his uncontrollable young boyfriend constantly attempting to insert himself in the Senate on homophobes should be cause for censure by credible gay organizations.
Stan, your personal life is hurting the institution. It’s happened before. Speaker McGee watched as his girlfriend/secretary destroyed the House.
Keep on doin’ what you’re doin’ Stan. It’s great entertainment.

I don’t know … there’s probably a little more interest because of the gay angle, not to mention the May-September angle (to your point about Bob Kraft’s girlfriend, we all know about her, and we probably wouldn’t if she was Kraft’s age).
But significant others running for things, you never know where that could lead.

A heterosexual married couple as Senator and Rep never even got a mention.
But the they WERE Democrats, after all

We have a Martha Mitchell situation here. Not so with the dynamic duo from Brockton. Completely different. Different branches. Let the boy run for Stan’s seat when he leaves it or run for rep.
This guy craves the spot light. No double standard. The media is what the media is and would be all over this if instead of a male it was Stan’s female gal pal. Same age, same quotes, same history, same everything.
Stan would pronbably be laughed at more but because if the gay factor many feel threatened if they point out the obvious problems here.

On the Star Wars episode of the Big Bang Theory, in the scenes in Sheldon’s bedroom with Professor Proton (Bob Newhart) as Obi Wan Kenobi, there is a poster of the Star Trek episode, “Spock’s Brain” prominently displayed on the bedroom wall. This is easily the absolute worst Star Trek: The Original Series episodes. I cannot even begin to itemize how badly the episode sucks on every conceivable level.
What does this have to do with this post? I believe the connection is “Things that are horrible on every level” for $200 Alex.

A recent selfie!
And exactly how does a statement like,”BTW he sucks as Senate Prez, Time To Go” promote civil political discourse. I am curious how anyone is supposed to respond to such baseless and unsupported character assassination? I suggest that you review the tenor of the ten most recent postings by EB3 and if you can highlight a list of socially redeemable commentary, I will gladly appologize!

It is my understanding that the point of this site is political discussion, yet rather than provide any meaningful discussion of how statements like:
1) F You Stan, and
2) BTW he sucks as Senate Prez, Time To Go.
amount to nothing but baseless character assassination. I would suggest that if you feel you are prepared to make a valid point, then you should present your case with supporting evidence and stop hiding behind the UpVote/DownVote system.

My mistake, I hit Return while going for the Shift Key. I meant DownVote, not ownVote.
