Citizens who come out for the presidential election in November will also have the opportunity to vote on a ballot question that would raise the cap on the number of charter schools that can operate in Massachusetts. If this ballot question passes, it will take more money away from public schools and funnel it to schools that operate outside the control of local school boards. We can’t let that happen!
Please join Senator Ken Donnelly, Arlington School Committee Chair, Paul Schlichtman, and others to discuss legislation and a ballot initiative that would allow charter schools to siphon more money from our public schools and what we can do about it.
