For those interested in attending the 5th congressional District caucus to elect the Bernie Sanders delegates, it will be April 9th, 1 PM, at Malden High School. You must have been a registered Democrat as of February 10, 2016. All the congressional districts will be having their caucuses for both Democratic candidates at 1 PM on April 9th. The process and all locations are here: http://massdems.org/index.php/caucuses/national-caucuses-convention
As a disclosure – I am not running to be a delegate. I did not pull papers for another term on the State Democratic Committee – and do not know if I will attend the 5th District Caucus April 9th as there are just too many variables, including health, in my life over which I have no illusion of control.

I am sorry to hear of what seems to be ill health, especially after the loss of your husband. I wish you smooth sailings.

Among other things I am 14 weeks out from a total hip replacement – and in addition to my husband’s death in 2012, my only sister died in 2013, my mother died in 2014 and my father died in 2015! And a first grand child was born this year. Altogether, my focus has shifted and party politics is no longer high on my personal dance card, nor do I have the emotional and physical energy for it. That all being said, I do still care about “the body politic AND need to use my more limited energy to maintain myself including by working as in the private sector, there were no pensions resulting from my husband’s labors other than social security – nor from my labors and as I have said before ‘I am NOT a trust fund baby”. Thank you all for the many good discussions I continue to follow.
