I just finished reading an interview with Paul Horner in the Washington Post. He is a purveyor of fake news on Facebook and claims to take in about $10,000 a month from ads on his stories. He takes credit for making up the paid Trump demonstrator, the Amish endorsement, and yes, the Muslim registry stories.
He complains that he wants to be like The Onion, but that right wing people are too stupid and repost his stories. Not that it could ever happen on a blue site.
All of you – pause to consider how many people have ever even spoken to anyone connected with Trump but feel free to post what he is planning. It’s like the Globe citing Todd Domke as an authority on Republican politics. I could do better with a deck of Tarot cards predicting what will happen.

Kobach told Reuters that the Trump administration-in-waiting is considering reinstating a database of immigrants from Muslim-majority countries — something the federal government did from 2002 to 2011.
The Kobach proposal isn’t the same thing as the database of Muslim US citizens that Trump briefly floated (and then walked back) last year. It’s subtler — and that makes it a lot more plausible.
