Any word on would-be successors? They are going to have to scramble since papers are already out.

Also not seeking re-election: Democratic Representatives Atkins, Dwyer, Kaufman, and Smizik.

Atkins, Kaufman and Smizik are all staunch progressives. I’m confident our own Stomv will be a worthy successor to Smizik. Kaufman represents a solidly progressive district. Atkins represents more purple territory. As does Dwyer, which could be a great progressive pickup opportunity now that it’s an open seat. Wonder if the prospect of four more years of Baker/DeLeo had anything to do with this…

Atkins had already drawn at least one primary challenger on the premise that she was not progressive enough, but I don’t know enough to comment.

Like all candidates, our own stomv needs help to win. Near Brookline? Volunteer! Got a few bucks? Contribute!
I’ve got a primary race, and could use the support!
