Bad things happening all around, but this is just cool: Your senior senator outruns a TMZ reporter to catch a train:
I’m a fan of MA pols who take trains. Also too — yes indeed, physical vigor is a qualification for President of the United States!

She’s right. Apart from those of us deeply occupied by politics, like posting on BMG (no, I am not in my sweat pants but I am in my basement “den”) most Americans don’t give a hoot about the Mueller Report or the Russians or any of the crimes being committed daily by this administration. Nope.
They care about their lack of security, lack of hope for the future, and a world in which no one cares about them.
GO WARREN!

Caring about a lack of security, lack of hope for the future, and so on is synonymous with caring about the Russians and the about the crimes being committed daily by this administration.
It’s like saying that people care about their cough, not their smoking.

Yeah, well, most people know more about “March Madness” and are involved in picking their winning sheet than those who fully understand what the Mueller Report involves. That’s just how it is. I’m not saying it’s a good thing.

I’d be careful about the whole “physical vigor” thing. Ms. Warren was born in June of 1949. She turns 70 in a few months.
Like it or not, EVERY seventy year old is at increased risk of long list of things that drastically impair “physical vigor” — cardiac issues, stroke, and cancer to name just a few.
Meanwhile, FDR — arguably the greatest president in US history — was confined to a wheelchair. He spent enormous energy trying to hide that reality, and it was easier for him to do that in an era where most political communication was by print or radio.
What I see is that the behavior of our current administration is literally indistinguishable from how a full-blown Russian puppet government would act — and even our most progressive lion tells us it doesn’t matter.
It does matter. This massively corrupt government is absolutely shredding my health care, my environment, and — as soon as they get a chance — my retirement income. We have a government that is flagrantly and openly bought and paid for the uber-wealthy.
That’s a bread-and-butter issue for each and every one of us, whether the folks that Ms. Warren meets in New Hampshire admit it or not.

In terms of policy, Trump has been pretty bad for Russia. Now, Saudi Arabia, on the other hand…. But we will never see comparable interest in his Saudi financial ties. At this point, too many powerful Americans are profiting from Saudi Arabia, and Tulsi Gabbard has given us a good example of what happens when anyone threatens their interests.

I don’t see any major blows. What I see is a President doing all he can to destroy each and every bulwark that has kept the world safe from Russian aggression for decades.
I agree with you that his ties to the Saudis are as disturbing or worse.
