I vaguely recall a similar exchange between Harris and another witness a few weeks back. She’s good at this, which is why when I play Create-Your-Own-Cabinet she easily gets my AG spot.
You should have seen the exchange with Mnuchin when she prosecuted his bank for pervasive mortgage fraud after the financial crisis.
Oh wait . . .that never happened because a prosecution never happened despite the CA AG investigators recommending prosecution after a year-long inquiry identifying over a thousand legal violations. Harris’s office nixed it without comment.
No doubt she is good in certain situations like the above, but what’s the work behind the performance?
Her record as CA AG shouldn’t cause much excitement for a progressive, aggressive federal AG.
And others on the left complain she was too much of a prosecutor. There’s really no satisfying you, is there?:(
She was too aggressive of a prosecutor against those without power and she was not aggressive against those in power. A tough on crime DA and a weak AG. Terrible combination.
I think her toughness is real. I’m not gonna nitpick.
Or VP attack dog. A Warren-Harris ticket would be fairly formidable.
