A Plea for A Pledge

Massachusetts should lead the nation in open government, not lag behind

An F, for God's sake. And anyone who has ever tried to find a bill - or, worse, a roll-call vote - on the legislature's sorry excuse for a website can appreciate why. - promoted by david

Why can’t more CURRENT Congressmen call for campaign finance reform?

MA Senate Calls for Constitutional Amendment Reversing Citizens United

This is fine as far as it goes. The problem is that an amendment has zero chance of making it through the US Senate, to say nothing of the US House. A better strategy, IMHO, is for the states to call for a constitutional convention limited to the Citizens United issue. If 2/3 of the state legislatures call for such a convention, Congress has no leeway; it must call a convention, and any amendments that emerge from it are submitted directly to the states for ratification. - promoted by david
