We've been quite derelict in posting about this. These bills are, indeed, very very bad, and it's not hyperbole to say that they constitute an existential threat to sites like this one. One of the shocking things is that members of Congress who are generally fairly sensible, like Senator Pat Leahy (D-VT), have inexplicably been bamboozled by Hollywood into supporting this wretched legislation.
