(There are a lot of serious questions to be answered regarding Blue Cross Blue Shield's extraordinary $8.6 million payout to its former CEO. Let's hope the Attorney General's investigation is a thorough one that actually gets some results. Also, why are board members for a nonprofit being paid at all, much less being paid tens of thousands of dollars? - promoted by David)

(Great, great stuff. Thanks, Kate. This, in my opinion, is a far more likely place to change policy and politics in MA than running, for example, losing Green Party candidates (winning ones would be constructive), or writing despairing posts about the state of things (not that those aren't always welcome too!). - promoted by Bob Neer)
