   Tax code is crazy. real estate invesor get to sell buldings for 100mln and pay no capital gains as long as they buy a new building with a short period.

   why pick one crazy deduction at a time ? ….It is great for lobbyist.

   He was a great man and mayor.

   One of the stories I love is changing the direction of Charles Street. Greyhound and Trailways used Charles street as an on ramp to Storrow Drive north. Kevin decided the neighborhood would be better if they uses another access road. One Sunday night, no committee’s , no hearings, he changed the direction of the street to its current state.
   When asked how everyone would know what to do he said ‘ they will figure it out” and Monday morning they did .

   no one likes to live within a budget- and everyone is happy to spend someone elses money. I don’t like the Tea Party but the fact DC is debating our debt issues which are huge; is a good thing
   Pete Peterson ( a liberal in many ways) has been on this for some time
