A hat tip to Ben for noting that the Trust for America’s Health has rated Massachusetts as tied for last (with Alaska, arguably the state least likely to be hit by a terrorist attack) in emergency preparedness for a bioterrorist attack. (Read the full report here.) This seems embarrassing for a state that prides itself on its numerous world-class hospitals. It’s also an embarrassment for His Excellency Mitt Romney, who is reportedly a possible candidate to head the Department of Homeland Security, and who chaired the Department’s "Homeland Security Funding Task Force."
