An instructive piece today from regressive David Brooks. The pundit had a rich meal in New Orleans, asked for decaffinated coffee, then lamented this, in his words, pusillanimous request. Why was he so weak? "I blame the people at the top for setting the tone," he writes. "I blame parents," he adds. "Iblame the titans of corporatism," he says. Finally, "I blame the arbiters of virtue." Never even a whisper of personal responsibility. Today’s Republican Party in a nutshell.
