Here are some good tidbits from the Herald.
The Massachusetts Federation of Teachers was eager to take Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey to task in a press release sent out yesterday:
âDemonstrating their support for the commonwealthâs professional educators, every opponent of Lt. Governor Kerry Healy in this Novemberâs race for governor will speak at the Massachusetts Federation of Teachers (MFT) annual convention on Saturdayâ¦â
âGubernatorial candidates Chris Gabrielli, Christy Mihos, Duvall Patrick and Attorney General Tom Reilly will each address the MFT gathering. Their appearance falls on the second day of the MFTâs annual two-day conclave. Healy did not respond to the teacherâs invitation.â
Leaving aside the grammatical mistakes and misspellings â FYI guys, itâs Kerry Healey, Deval Patrick and Chris Gabrieli â [also, it should be “teachers’,” not “teacher’s” -David] the release omits one key fact: Healey will be a little busy at the state GOP convention in Lowell, which has long been scheduled for this Saturday.
Heh. Maybe the MFT press folks should see if any of their members offer remedial spelling.
And from Emma Ratliff:
Bay State Republicans were treated yesterday to a bizarre choice for a campaign song that may stick in votersâ heads from now until Election Day, Nov. 7. Healey-Hillman campaign staffers selected âPeace of Mindâ by the legendary rock band Boston to highlight speeches by Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey and her choice for running mate, Reed Hillman.
With lyrics such as âI understand about indecisionâ and âI donât care if I get behind,â the song unintentionally said more about the would-be GOP gubernatorial ticket than either said in their respective speeches.
Hilarious.
