is getting the right amount of blame for the big big problems, compared to the blame the Dem Legislature is getting. My point being the Gov’s have been appointing the boards and Secertaries–yet there is more spin about the Leg being mostly at fault?

They may work, but they do so by driving down turnout, not by bringing people to your candidate. In a three-way race, the danger is that if A goes negative on B, people end up voting for C to punish both A (because people hate negative ads) and B (because A might be on to something anyway).
