Well, this time the Suffolk and CBS polls have come in with very similar results. It is very gratifying to see that sleaze and fear-mongering have only hurt Healey and helped Deval. A very good afternoon for Massachusetts and one that speaks well of our electorate!

Its gratifying indeed, but this is not a time to sit back and put the campaign on cruise control. We need to fight harder, intensify our voter ID efforts, and do everything we can to guarantee a Patrick-Murray victory on November 7th.

Goal #1- A win on November 7th.
Goal #2- A HUGE win on November 7th, solidifying that this is a movement for change and that the masses are behind it.
Goal #3- To badly embarrass Kerry Healey, and to make it clear that MA voters will not accept a campaign like hers.

I don’t care if the polls say Deval is ahead by 99%, I’m still going to the phone bank tonight, and tommorow night, and…

The bigger the winning margin, the less trouble Deval will get from the obstructionists on Beacon Hill.

who finds the great poll results (and shifts in the tide toward my candidate in general) invigorating in my political efforts?

Nights when I spent an hour on the phone and get only people who are undecided, plus a few “definitely not Patrick” people leave me exhausted. The nights when I get a dozen “Patrick’s our man” calls have me kicking up my heels to get on the phones the next night.

Last night I made no calls and felt guilty about it. You can better after these polls I’ll be roaring to it again tonight.

Stop calling Westford and get a phone list for Great Barrington.

Be of good cheer. Some towns are more difficult than others, and the easy 1s are already in the database. The lists get tougher because you are dialing the 3s and 4s of this world. Every 1 is a gift.

I’m calling Acton, where I live, and specifically I’m calling my precinct, that way I can sing the praises of not only Our Man Deval, but also My Man Jamie Eldridge, who is running for re-election for rep in my district.

tonight every single caller I got was a 1. That feels great. (Sunday night sucked…only a couple 1’s, lots and lots of 3’s and even a few cranky 5’s).
rollbiz says
You don’t need to call out of your town, although you can. I like calling within Central MA because I can talk about Murray and Augustus, Eldridge, and others people identify with.

Thanks, by the way, for making calls for Jamie. He’s a great guy.

At this point, I’m pretty angry at Healey and won’t feel happy unless she ends up under 20% and behind Mihos. If you’re shooting for a target, Bill Weld beat Mark Roosevelt 71% to 28% percent in 1994 in what I believe was the most lopsided result in Massachusetts history. Getting Patrick to 71% in this four-way race seems just about impossible, but we can dream, can’t we?

I know there are a lot of Blue Mass Group posters and readers in Cambridge and Somerville — and the Cambridge and Somerville Deval Patrick team has volunteer opportunities for you!

Please email Bmurphy@PatrickMurray06.com to get plugged in to phone banking, canvassing and data entry. Now is not the time to let up — we have two weeks to make certain that we return this state to the darkest shade of blue possible! Do not wake up on November 8th thinking you could have done more to change the tone of politics in Massachusetts and the nation.
