Kennedy and Kerry donate $1 million to DCCC and DSCC

October 25, 2006 By andrew-s

The AP is reporting that both of the Massachusetts Senators are donating a million dollars to the Democratic campaign committees. Kerry and Kennedy are each giving half a million to the DSCC and half a million to the DCCC, adding a million to each committee’s warchest.

It’s not 30%, but it’s another two million available for Democrats.

Over to you, Congressman Meehan.

A few days ago, I wrote to Senator Kerry to ask him to give away 1 million to the DSCC.  Yesterday, he did so.

I know my email made, at most, a tiny difference, but it sure feels like the Senator was being responsive to me, and, more broadly, to us progressive netroots types.

Chris Bowers sez that Malden’s own Ed Markey raised a million bucks for the DCCC with more to come from his own stash.

If Meehan’s not next, well, let’s just say he’s making my decision of who to support for an eventual Senate run a lot easier.
