but there’s something a little ‘Romneyesque’ about that gaze.

On the whole Digby kabuki, it’s been a little drawn out,
but I figure he/she has remained anonymous for a good reason.

Digby is right there with Glenn Greenwald for me as far as ‘must reads’ go, but I don’t really care about the gender issue. I’d like to see Digby have a bigger audience, just as I’d like to see the same for the BMG landlords, and I guess the privacy issues come with the territory.

I’ve always thought that it was just a running gag, something for the ‘inside the blogway’ crowd to have fun with. For all those “self-styled progressives”, as someone once said.
But for some reason, in that photo your eyes don’t look like they are focused on the same spot. But all the times I’ve seen you in person, your eyes were normal.

Or is Digby pulling an “atrios”?

speculation is that there is a small but growing number of people (in the blogosphere)who know Digby’s actual name, if that’s what you’re asking.

There seemed to be an inner circle of bloggers who knew who Digby was, but they protected her privacy. She’s made mention of writing a book and other ventures, so I expect that sooner or later there will be a name to go along with the face.

Now that Digby is “out”, my guess is that the GOP welcome wagon will be digging through her jr. high transcripts, and her CVS purchases if they weren’t already before.

Given Digby’s rather aggressive writing style, I would have believed that Digby was a “he.”

I don’t mean to be sexist, but there seems to be a difference between the writing styles of persons of the two sexes.

Digby gave the acceptance speech on behalf of the award given to the netroots at large. Definitely a woman:
