The GLBT newspaper In Newsweekly endorsed Tim Flaherty today. They praised his support for full equality for transgender people, and noted, “As a former prosecutor and now trial attorney, Flaherty possesses a unique understanding of crime and its effect on public safety and drug and alcohol abuse and its effect on youth. Flaherty said he will prioritize stopping Oxycontin use by young people.”
Noting that the “Barrios legacy is the name of the game” in this district, In Newsweekly declared that Tim Flaherty is the “right and best choice for the GLBT community.”
