The nomination deadline for the 2008 Unsung Heroines of Massachusetts Awards has been extended to January 28th. This event is sponsored by the Mass. Commission on the Status of Women annually to honor one woman from each of the Commonwealth’s cities and towns for her efforts to make her community a better place to live.
All women selected are honored at a State House ceremony in May. This is a great event and truly meaningful to these women who make a difference everyday in the lives of others but who rarely are acknowledged.
To nominate someone go to this website and download the easy nomination form…it takes 5 minutes but could mean so much to a special woman you know.
