p>They asked the presidential questions before the senatorial ones — I wonder if they randomly rotated that as well as the candidates in each race. It was good that they asked the horse-race questions before the other stuff, as you could imagine biasing the results otherwise.

p>Remember in the future that when Rasmussen (and probably others) do two polls in the same state on the same day, they use the same sample. (For example, I was one of the 500 likely voters for “both” polls.) So if you got an unusual result in both races, it could be sampling error rather than a common trend.
